F.A.Q.

What is the cordyceps mushroom? Cordyceps is an adaptogenic mushroom that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 1,500 years.

What are the health benefits of cordyceps? While not approved by the FDA, research suggests that cordyceps have anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-depressant benefits. Cordyceps oxygenate the blood, which helps with energy, libido and focus.

How are our cordyceps grown? Our cordyceps are grown locally in the San Luis Valley on organic, non-GMO ingredients. Since cordyceps absorb heavy metals, we only grow our cordycpes in sterilized glass mason jars.

What is the best way to consume our cordyceps? Steep 1-2 grams for 10min in water that is just below boiling temperature. We also recommend adding cordyceps to your favorite tea, broth or soup.

What is the flavor like? Similar to Chestnut Mushrooms: nutty, earthy, umami.

What is the difference between albino and pigmented cordyceps? Albino cordyceps contain more active compounds, including higher flavonoid content and antioxidants.

What is the difference between dehydrated and freeze-dried cordyceps? More active compounds are preserved when cordyceps are freeze-dried since bioactive compounds are volatile and degrade at high temperatures.

What makes our tinctures special? Our tinctures are crafted using freeze-dry ultrasonic dual-extraction concentrate for optimal retention of terpenes, beta-glucans, and other volatile bioactive compounds. We use reverse osmosis filtered water and 190 proof food grade ethyl alcohol for full spectrum extraction.
